What We Do
Parade

Parade Nights focus on the ATC's Ground
Training Syllabus which covers aviation topics, map reading and
service knowledge.
It isn't all classroom based though,
practical activities also take place where cadets actively participate in
things such as:
-
Map reading, practicing in the local
area
-
Fieldcraft - camouflage and
concealment
-
First Aid
-
Drill
-
Night Exercises - where teams of
cadets compete to achieve objectives.
We also have regular sports nights
Weekend
Activities
Flying and gliding
takes place at weekends and all cadets will have the opportunity to go
flying or gliding on an annual basis.
Duke of
Edinburgh's Award expeditions are also held at the weekends.
The Squadron holds
regular weekend camps to practice military skills.
The ATC runs
weekend courses in topics such as leadership and shooting.
Other Activities
The highlight of the year is Annual
Camp which is held at an operational RAF Station. Cadets get to see
the RAF in action and take part in activities such as flying, shooting,
section visits, sport and fieldcraft.
There are also week-long adventure
training camps available for cadets to attend as well as courses such as
parachuting and micro-lighting.
There is the opportunity for
international travel in the way of exchanges with other Air Cadet
organisations and overseas camps.

Training Corps (ATC) activities please look at
